What is Quote 2048?
Quote 2048 is the classic 2048 puzzle where every tile is a quotation. Each game has one theme — like Courage, Time or Shakespeare — and its 11 tiles from 2 to 2048 climb from a short proverb to the theme's crown quote.
Is it free?
Yes. Today's puzzle is free to play in your browser with no sign-up and no ads. The Quote 2048 app for iPhone and iPad is also free to download.
Where do the quotes come from?
Every line comes from public-domain writing or traditional proverbs — philosophers, poets and novelists such as Seneca, Laozi, Shakespeare and Emily Dickinson — and each attribution was checked against its source.
When is there a new puzzle?
A new theme arrives every day at midnight in your time zone. The web version has one game per day and cycles through all 60 themes and author packs.
What does the app add?
The app lets you play any of the 60 themes whenever you like, including 36 author packs, and continue past 2048 up to 131072 — 17 quotes per theme. It also keeps a collection of the quotes you reach and lets you build your own quote pack.
