- Two tiles of the same color merge into the next color of today's painting palette.

FAQ
What is Palette 2048?
Palette 2048 is a daily art puzzle: a 2048-style color game where the board is painted with the palette of a real masterpiece. Instead of numbers, tiles show colors — merge two tiles of the same color and they turn into the next color of the painting's palette.
Is it free?
Yes. Today's puzzle is free to play in your browser with no sign-up and no ads. The Palette 2048 app for iPhone and iPad is also free to download.
How is it different from 2048?
The rules are the same as 2048 — slide the tiles, merge equal pairs, aim for the 2048 tile — but there are no numbers. You follow the painting's color palette from its darkest shade to its lightest, so every day's board looks and plays differently.
When is there a new puzzle?
A new painting and color palette arrive every day at midnight in your time zone. The web version has one game per day. On Saturdays the painting's title stays hidden until you finish.
What does the app add?
The app has its own separate daily puzzle — a different masterpiece from the web version, so you get two paintings a day. It also adds the archive of past masterpieces, 3×3 and 5×5 boards, unlimited replays, one-step undo and the Saturday mystery quiz, where you guess the painting from its colors.
